Beatson Clark Wins Two Awards and is In Line for Three More

Published: 30th October 2025

Beatson Clark picked up two prizes at the UK Packaging Awards on a memorable night for glass packaging – and we've since been shortlisted for three more awards!

We won the Investment of the Year Award for our new spray decorating plant and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award for our Colleague Community Engagement Fund.

Overall the UK glass packaging sector walked away with ten of the packaging awards on offer – a real tribute to the creativity, quality and sustainability of glass packaging.

We launched our new in-house spray decoration service in the summer of 2024, spraying glass bottles and jars in a wide range of colours and effects.

Provided they’re suitable, glass containers manufactured elsewhere can also be decorated at the facility, which has opened up new markets for Beatson Clark to explore such as perfumes and homeware.

The judges said we had found a unique space in the market which was producing premium packaging with solid financials and an amazing return on investment. They found that the decorating plant was a project that shows true commitment to progress and innovation in packaging.

Our Colleague Community Engagement Fund encourages wellbeing and charity fund-raising by providing £2,000 every year to support colleagues and their chosen good causes.

Since it was launched in October 2024 the fund has donated £3,660 to support eight organisations, including charities, community groups and sports clubs.

The judges said this was an excellent example of very effective and impactful CSR on a small budget. They said the initiative was well managed and provided a large number of small grants given to very worthy local causes.

Eddie Pickering, Managing Director of Beatson Clark, said: “I was delighted to attend the awards ceremony with members of our team and I was unbelievably proud when we won both the awards we were shortlisted for!

“The new decorating plant was a major investment, but one which we knew would pay dividends as it opens up important new markets for us. The team have worked incredibly hard to get it to a high standard and they deserve to celebrate this success.

“Our Colleague Community Engagement Fund is another important initiative that is taking place behind the scenes. It supports our colleagues who want to make a difference to local good causes and it allows us to give something back to the community where we’ve been manufacturing glass packaging for over 270 years.

“I couldn’t be happier or more proud of our team – well done to them for bringing home these two prestigious awards!”

Beatson Clark has now been shortlisted in three more categories at the Glass Focus Awards on 20th November:

  • Health and Safety Action - Beatson Clark Target Zero
  • Rising Star - HR Advisor Charlotte Lax
  • Marketing Impact - Spray Decoration Service Launch

Following our double win at the UK Packaging Awards, these latest nominations highlight Beatson Clark’s strength across the board. It is further recognition of the company’s continued investment, creativity and commitment to excellence in glass packaging.
