Glass is Safe

Glass does not contain chemicals such as Bisphenol A or Phthalates which are found in several plastic materials. These chemicals are banned in parts of the world for their potential effects on pregnant women and newborn babies.

It is the only mainstream packaging that does not require additional layers to protect your food and drink, unlike other packaging materials that contain plastic liners such as cans and tetra packs.

Glass is the only packaging material exempt from REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) registration in Europe and the only packaging material to achieve GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) classification from the American Food & Drug Administration, both of which endorse it as safe for direct contact with food & pharmaceutical products.

Amber glass will also protect products from Ultra Violet light.

It can be pasteurised, sterilised or microwaved without losing product integrity or leaching toxic or carcinogenic chemicals.
