Job Title: Cold End Line Leader
Responsible to: Cold End Foreman
Reporting positions: Team Members
Location: Rotherham
Shift Pattern: 5 Shift System

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Self snapping with adjacent line
  • Will man to 7 Cell Leaders for absence which includes holidays and sickness and be flexible under these circumstances, the two lines that will be covered will be at CEF’s discretion
  • Lehr checks to include visual & gauging checking – as often as possible with a minimum of two per hour with lehr indication of each check carried out.
  • Challenging inspection equipment (3 times per shift per line)
  • Inspection equipment interrogation to analyse faults
  • Ink jet coding checks
  • Mould number rejection
  • Fault communication (via Superview)
  • Efficiency recording – hourly for line – reset of counters, detail of line losses, react to change  by informing  CEF
  • Follow quality procedures
  • Recording minor stops – and improve feedback with reasons of breakdowns
  • Housekeeping GMP practices and line auditing -  line responsibility for job changes  and pack specifications
  • Quarantine initiation
  • Immediate feedback to Hot End on identified faults
  • Attend to line jams
  • Autonomous maintenance when required
  • Achievement of departmental targets
  • In times of non production for any reason turn the cold end coating system off to stop hood contamination
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested within skill set

Person Specification

  • Extensive bottle fault knowledge
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing - Desirable
  • Experience of working within CI teams - Desirable
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work machinery and systems to SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Understanding of targets and OTIF (On Time In Full)
  • ILM level 2 (or equivalent) - Desirable
  • IOSH or equivalent H&S training - Desirable
  • Company Bottle recognition course
  • Manual handling
  • Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent)
  • PC literate
  • Motivated and professional with a desire to achieve results with a commercial and customer focus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Self resilient and capable of making difficult decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
